Cube in a Vault

The motif "Cube in the Vault" dynamically implements the theme of movement. A three-strut vault made of reinforcing iron stands on the corners of an equilateral triangle within a circle. The diameter of the circle is one-third of the total height of the structure. The base is made of sandstone. The cube, carved from the same stone, appears to "hover" within it. The structure and color of the base transport the scene to the solitude of the desert. The highly sensitive suspension causes the cube to tremble almost imperceptibly, depending on the movement in the space. It perceives the movement of its environment and transforms it into visible kinetic energy. Only the patient observer experiences the moment of absolute stillness.
